Why You Must Fix Registry Problems
by B. Matheson
Truth be told it's best to avoid registry problems before they happen to prevent serious issues. This saves you from risking damage to your files, and dealing with crashes, freezing, and PC slow downs. With that being said you must fix registry problems that you currently have to ensure your data is safe, and of course for your own sanity, because dealing with frequent crashes and freezing is very unproductive on a personal or business PC.
It's always easier to prevent then to repair registry problems after they arise and you notice a degradation in speed, crashing or freezing or programs. But most people don't even know what their windows registry is until they have a need to improve it. So should you be fixing registry problems? Below is a short list of a few reasons you might want to be fixing issues in your registry.
Example Reasons why you might need to Fix Registry Problems:
- Spyware and Adware are two big causes of issues with the registry
- You install and remove programs quite often (could be free trials or demo software)
- Software that has been removed but never fully un-installed itself from your system
- You've updated or removed and re-installed a piece of hardware and it's device driver
New systems are usually fine and don't require any repair. Unfortunately over time your registry and system files grow in size and become larger and larger. This happens especially as you install and remove new programs and hardware. This process installs drivers and other entries and then removes them from the windows registry, but usually never fully removing themselves completely.
As simple example of this is that if you were to remove a program you currently have installed today some remnants of that program would likely be left behind in the registry. Exactly how much? That varies from program to program, but do this enough times and you can see how your registry can grow in size. Then add on top of that each driver update, new hard ware installed etc.
The fastest solution to fix registry problems is to purchase a registry cleaner. These programs are designed specifically to get rid of all the items we've talked about in this article.
